SALES UP: Medical marijuana patients in Arkansas have spent $164 million at the state’s dispensaries this year, up $7 million from the same period last year.

Medical marijuana patients in Arkansas spent more than $23 million at the state’s dispensaries last month, bringing the total haul for the year to more than $164 million.

The state’s patients spent $23.2 million to buy 5,157 pounds of medical marijuana products at the state’s 38 dispensaries in July, according to a press release from the state Department of Finance and Administration.

So far in 2023, patients have spent $164.6 million to buy 32,214 pounds of product, an increase of about $7 million over the first seven months last year.

Suite 443 in Hot Springs was the top-selling dispensary last month with 551 pounds in sales, followed by Natural Relief Dispensary of Sherwood with 462 pounds.

The state Department of Health reported 93,524 active patient cards, which is an increase over the 88,893 cards that were active last August, the report said.

The Hill (Fayetteville, formerly Acanza, opened September 14, 2019) sold 180.92 pounds of medical marijuana in July.

Harvest (Conway, opened October 11, 2019) sold 225.22 pounds of medical marijuana in July.
